Project 125.1 - Promotional Video
Project 125.1 is a fundraising initiative aimed at supporting Krista Guloien Temple, a Canadian Olympic rowing legend who was recently diagnosed with stage four breast cancer.
Following Krista’s diagnosis, which revealed that the cancer had spread to her bones, Matt Christopherson was inspired to raise funds through a grueling 125km overnight run from Vancouver to Whistler, BC. This run, which will cover 1900 meters of elevation, is part of a broader effort to provide Krista with crucial, but costly, advanced Intratumoral Immunotherapy treatments.
Project 125.1 not only seeks to cover Krista’s medical expenses but also aims to build a legacy of support for athletes facing sudden health crises. The initiative includes a fundraising dinner at the Bearfoot Bistro in Whistler on September 7th, 2024, celebrating both Krista’s remarkable achievements and the community rallying behind her.
